The first minute with any guitar are crucial. This is the moment when you instinctively feel whether or not you could bond with it. The rounded shape of the neck in your hand. The smooth feel when you slide down the neck. The weight of the guitar. It is all about the feeling you experience.

Only after a guitar passes this first test other thing start to matter. How resonant is it when strummed for the first time? Do you feel the body vibrate against you? How easy is it to play the chords and bend the notes?

And when plugged in you hear that vintage transparant tone. That get’s a bit creamy when you crank the amp. That is when you may notice how well the delicate aging and tastefull finish of the body matches the worn down feeling of the neck. And now it feels and looks good.
