STROMBERG GUITARS: A LEGENDARY RETURN

STROMBERG GUITARS: A LEGENDARY RETURN

The legendary Stromberg brand is making a long-awaited return, reviving its legacy with handcrafted guitars built exclusively in Europe.

Originally founded in the early 20th century, Stromberg became renowned for its Master 400 and Master 300 archtops—guitars that helped shape the sound of jazz. Artists like Freddie Green of Count Basie’s orchestra and Fred Guy of Duke Ellington’s band cemented Stromberg’s place in music history.

Though production ceased in the 1950s, Stromberg’s reputation never faded. These instruments remain highly sought-after by collectors and players alike.

Now, under the stewardship of Aurora Music Works (AMW) of Switzerland, Stromberg is set for a grand revival. Led by industry veteran Tim Lobley, AMW is reintroducing the Master 300 and Master 400 as limited Masterbuilt reproductions. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these guitars will preserve the rich tone and impeccable design that made Stromberg legendary.

“We’re proud to honour Stromberg’s legacy and reimagine the brand for today’s players,” said Tim Lobley, AMW founder. “These instruments represent the finest craftsmanship and the heritage of a brand loved by generations.”

Stay tuned—Stromberg’s return is coming soon to our website.
